Light Among Shadows

I'm making a new game, it's a top-down game, basically you have to collect all the little dots to open the door and get to the next level.
It has a (probably) unique visual style, all the objects are black and fade to white and back, while the background is white and fades to black and back, so they are the opposite. The sprites are extremely simple.
I might make it a shooter, but I don't know how to do the instant bullets, I want that, and I'll have to figure out how to make the lines the right colour. It needs more, I would like suggestions.
